Effective date: October 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Bin There Games LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Bin There Games”, “we”, “us”). They cover our game SEVER // ctrl (the “Game”), including its updates, online play, Steam Workshop features, Discord features and this website.
By installing, opening or playing the Game, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t play the Game.
You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country sets a higher minimum age for services like Steam. If you are under the age of legal adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and play the Game for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may play it on devices you own or control, as long as you follow these Terms and the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
The Game is licensed to you, not sold. We and our licensors keep every right these Terms don’t expressly give you.
Unless the law allows it in a way these Terms can’t override, you may not:
You may stream the Game and post videos and screenshots of it, including on channels that make money from ads, sponsorships or donations. You must not:
We may ask you to remove content that breaks these Terms.
What counts. Your creations are content you make with the Game’s tools: levels, units, designs, Workshop items and lobby names.
Who owns what. You keep ownership of what you create. The Game’s own art, code and other content inside your creations still belongs to us.
Your licence to us. When you share a creation, for example by publishing it to the Steam Workshop, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence. It lets us store, copy, display and distribute the creation, and adapt it (for example, to keep it working with new versions of the Game), in connection with running and promoting the Game. We will credit you where reasonably possible. The licence ends when you delete the creation, except for copies other people already have and promotional material made before you deleted it.
What your creations must not contain. By sharing a creation, you confirm you have the right to share it. Your creations must not:
The Steam Workshop. Workshop items are also covered by Steam’s Workshop Legal Agreement. Other players’ creations are theirs, not ours. We don’t check them in advance, and you download and use them at your own risk. We may hide creations from the Game, refuse to support them or report them to Steam.
Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely, without paying or crediting you.
If you think something in the Game, or shared through it, infringes your copyright, email hello@binthere.games. Your email must include:
For Steam Workshop items, you can also use Steam’s own copyright reporting process.
Treat other players with respect. No harassment, hate speech, threats, cheating or offensive lobby names. Online matches are peer-to-peer, so we can’t watch them as they happen. You can report players through Steam’s tools or by emailing us.
Steam and Discord are run by other companies. We are not responsible for their services, their availability or what they do with your information. Features that rely on them may change or stop working if those companies change their services.
We may update the Game, usually automatically through Steam, and we may add, change or remove features. We may also stop supporting online features such as multiplayer or the Steam Workshop. If we do, we will try to give reasonable notice on the Game’s Steam page.
You buy the Game through Steam, and Steam’s refund policy applies. We don’t handle payments. Currency, items and progress earned in the Game have no real-world value and can’t be exchanged for money.
The Game belongs to Bin There Games LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. That includes its code, art, audio, levels, characters, names and logos. Some parts come from third parties and are covered by their own licences, whose notices come with the Game.
These Terms apply until either of us ends them. You can end them at any time by uninstalling the Game. We may end or suspend your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. Some sections still apply after the agreement ends: sections 6, 7, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 19.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Game is provided “as is” and “as available”.
Your consumer rights. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived, such as statutory rights in the European Union or the United Kingdom.
To the fullest extent the law allows:
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims made by other people because of your creations or because you broke these Terms. This includes reasonable legal fees.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, not counting its rules on which law applies.
If you have a problem, please email us first. We will try to resolve it within 30 days. If we can’t, disputes will be decided by the state or federal courts in Florida, and you and we agree to those courts’ jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer living in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you keep the protection of your country’s mandatory consumer laws and can also bring a claim in your local courts.
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we will also announce it on the Game’s Steam page or in the Game. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don’t agree, stop playing.
